Metro University carries forward the educational vision of Dr. (Prof.) Purshotam Lal, a distinguished cardiologist and recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan. His contribution to interventional cardiology includes pioneering more than 20 innovative cardiac procedures, several recognized as world-firsts.
The institution's foundation is connected with the Metro Group of Hospitals, which began its journey in 1997. Over the years, the group has expanded its healthcare network to 12 hospitals across several locations in North India, along with an international presence in Oman and Cambodia. Its healthcare ecosystem includes more than 1,200 doctors and has served over 85 lakh patients.
Metro's commitment to education dates back to 2010, when Metro College of Health Sciences & Research (MCHSR) was established in Greater Noida. Metro University builds upon this experience, bringing together multidisciplinary education, practical learning, industry exposure and career-oriented development.
